The Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins tonight, 8-6. The Tigers got on the board in the 1st when Victor Martinez hit a ground-rule double, bringing home Miguel Cabrera. A soft line drive RBI single from J.D. Martinez gave the Tigers a 2 run lead. Tigers would add onto their lead in the 4th after a line drive RBI double off the bat of Bryan Holaday. A soft ground RBI single from Andrew Romine scored a run from Nick Castellanos. In the 5th, Twins Pitcher A.J. Achter walked Castellanos with the bases loaded, scoring a 6th run for Detroit. Minnesota got on the board in the 5th after a home run from Oswaldo Arcia. The Twins kept whittling away at the Tiger's lead in the 6th starting with a 2 RBI single off the bat of Joe Mauer, and Trevor Plouffe hit a sacrifice fly to score a run, bringing them up to 4. In the 8th Joba Chamberlain walked 2 batters, Phil Coke was brought in, and Mauer hit a 2 RBI single to tie it all up. The Tigers wern't going away though, back to back homers hit by Torii Hunter and Miggy gave the lead back to the Tigers.
