A few weeks ago I was at Sam's Club and saw some really cheap Lions gear. I got nice, nylon Lions T for 6 bucks. It was the first time I have EVER purchased a piece of Lions gear. The reason: I think we have guys (and a lady) running the team that actually know their asses from a hole in the ground. The Lions recent draft was successful, but NO team in the NFL has missed on as many picks as they have during the Martin Mayhew era. I believe the people running the show now know something about brand recognition. Something that hasn't been emphasized in the Tom Lewand era.

The Lions Team President Rod Wood (no relation to Ron Wood from the Rolling Stones) said on the radio: The Lions are mulling a uniform and color scheme switch. No more Honolulu Blue and Silver? I did a quick google search on Lions colors and Black and White are also named. Could those be the new colors? Fitting for Detroit. Where blacks and whites once combined to make cars, music and win sports championships. Click here to read the full article.

I am totally for this change and would welcome a funeral for those LOSER colors that have never seen a Super Bowl. It would be like exorcising demons. I have said they should change the uniforms for years, leading me to believe this won't happen. I also said they should fire the receptionist and a janitor with this fresh start. Something is cursed there. Is it just bad management or something deeper. Either way, I am ready for a change.

THE DETROIT LIONS ARE THE ONLY NON EXPANSION TEAM TO NEVER MAKE A SUPER BOWL.
