The Detroit Tigers were able to snag a win against the Chicago White Sox tonight, 4-3. Tigers starter, David Price and Sox starter Scott Carroll were engaged in a pitching battle for 6 innings until Torii Hunter was able to get home after an error from catcher Josh Phegley. Runs were added in the 7th when a line drive single off the bat of Ian Kinsler brought home Andrew Romine, and a ground rule double from Hunter got in a run from Rajai Davis. Avisail Garcia scored 2 runs with a ground single to bring Detroit's lead down by 1 in the 9th. The Sox tied up the game after Marcus Semien hit a line drive 2 RBI single. Miguel Cabrera saved the day with an RBI single to score Kinsler. The Tigers still stand 1 game ahead of the Royals. The Tigers play again tomorrow at 12:40 on Lansing's Big Talker, 1240 AM, WJIM.
