The Detroit Tigers (7-6) lost in Comerica Park tonight to the Los Angeles Angels (8-8), 11-6. The Angels would take an early lead at the top of the second inning with runs scored by Chris Iannetta and J.B. Shuck. They would add onto their lead in the third when Howie Kendrick scores a two run home run. The Tigers would score at the bottom of the 3rd when Torii Hunter hit a soft line drive to bring home Rajai Davis. The Angels respond in the 4th with a double hit by Mike Trout to bring in 2 runs (scored by Ian Stewart and Colin Cowgill). Then Kendrick hit another home run for two more runs. During the top of the 6th, Albert Puljos hit a 3 run home run. At the bottom of the 7th, Detroit fought back a line drive single from Ian Kinsler, scored 2 runs by Alex Avila and Andrew Romine. A single from Nick Castellanos brought home Rajai Davis. A ground out hit by Miguel Cabrera brought home Kinsler, and a ground out from Victor Martinez brought in a run from Castellanos. This would end the scores for the night, and the Angels would take the victory. The Tigers take on the Angels again tomorrow at 12:40 on Lansing's Big Talker, 1240 AM, WJIM.
