The Detroit Red Wings beat the Buffalo Sabres in Hockeytown tonight, 3-2. All 3 goals for Detroit were scored in the first period. The first goal was scored by Darren Helm. Later in the first, Tomas Jurco scored a Power Play goal. Minutes later, Daniel Alfredsson scored a goal towards the end of the period. The only goal in the second period was scored by Jamie McBain  of the Sabres. They would go on to score another goal in the 3rd period by Nicolas Deslauriers, who made his first career goal,  but it wasn't enough to win. The Wings now have 88 points in the playoff standings and will play again on April 5th. Broadcast begins at 6:40 PM On Lansing's Big Talker, WJIM, 1240 AM.
