We're in the stretch drive of the regular season in boys' and girls' high school basketball.  Just one week left in the girls' season, and two weeks left for the boys before the state tournament begins. And we've got conference titles to be decided before district play begins.

On the boys' side, Grand Ledge can clinch a share of the CAAC Blue title if they defeat Everett on Friday and Holt lose at home to Okemos. In the CAAC Red, DeWitt already has a share of the title, but can win it outright if they knock off Owosso on the road. The CAAC Gold title will be figured out next Tuesday when 8-1 Waverly is at 9-0 Jackson Lumen Christi. In the CAAC White, Williamston wins that outright if they beat Portland on Friday.  The CMAC is a three-team race between Fulton, P-W, and Laingsburg.

On the girls' side, Haslett already has the CAAC Red locked up. But Grand Ledge needs to beat Everett to get a share of the CAAC Blue title. And, they win it outright if Okemos beats Holt for the second time this year. In the CAAC Gold, Jackson Northwest has the inside track with a 1 game lead over Eaton Rapids with 3 games left. And in the White, Portland wins it outright if they win at home over Williamston on Friday. The CMAC, like the boys, is a three-team race between P-W, Portland St. Pats, and Laingsburg.

So there's some exciting stuff before we get to the magic of March. Our upcoming games on The Game 730 AM WVFN are as follows: Friday, Feb. 14 - Okemos at Holt; Monday, Feb. 17 - P-W at Bath; Tuesday, Feb. 18th - Waverly at Jackson Lumen Christi; Wednesday, Feb. 19th - Fowler at Bath; and Friday, Feb 21st - Williamston at Lansing Catholic or Holt at Grand Ledge.
