The Blue Jays take down the Tigers, 8-2
It was another tough night for the Detroit Tigers (31-24), who lost to the Toronto Blue Jays (36-24) tonight, 8-2. The Blue Jays struck first in the first with a single run homer hit from the bat of Melky Cabrera. Miguel Cabrera would respond in kind with a homer of his own at the bottom of the first. Ian Kinsler would take the lead in the 3rd with a home run, but the Blue Jays came back in the 8th. A ground ball single off the bat of Melky Cabrera scored Jose Reyes. A line drive double from Adam Lind scored Cabrera, and a force ground out from Steve Tolleson brought home Jose Batista. In the 9th, the Blue Jays scored their last runs from a line drive double from Jose Batista, scoring Keric Kratz and Anthony Gose. The Tigers play again Tomorrow against the Blue Jays , game broadcast begins at 12:40 on Lansing's Big Talker, WJIM AM, 1240.
