Stockbridge Quarterback Mason Gee-Montgomery Is Prolific Passer, Stellar Student
Completing 72 of 101 passes for 1,134 yards, 19 touchdowns and 2 interceptions would be a great season for almost any high school quarterback.
But not for Stockbridge's Mason Gee-Montomgery--that's just a one-third season sample size.
Those gaudy numbers are what Stockbridge's outstanding junior signal caller has already put up through just three games(!) this season. In last week's win over Leslie, he fired off eight scoring strikes.
The statistics speak for themselves, but Gee-Montgomery is disappointed in himself--two interceptions is two too many, he said.
You shouldn't be surprised by his perfectionism. After all, the kid has a perfect 4.0 grade point average and plans on attending an Ivy League college.
For his accomplishments both on and off the field, we've named Gee-Montgomery the WVFN Lansing-Area High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Falsetta's Casa Nova. Here's more about the standout from Stockbridge:
