St. Johns Swimmer Emma Schaefer Is A Tremendous Young Leader, Even Better Person
Emma Schaefer has already experienced marked success in the pool, and she's only a junior on the St. Johns swim team.
And yet her teammates will tell you that she's an even better person than she is a swimmer.
They point to instances like one at a recent meet: One of Schaefer's teammates began having a panic attack in the pool. Schaefer wasted no time in jumping right in to help her fellow Redwing swimmer, helping to calm her down.
Shaefer is also a good student with designs on an education and collegiate swimming career at the Division 2 or 3 level.
For all of her accomplishments both in and out of the water, Schaefer is our WVFN Lansing-Area High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Falsetta’s Casa Nova.
