Sports Illustrated’s New Swimsuit Edition Features Plus-Size Model For First Time Ever

Kudos to Sports Illustrated for acknowledging reality.

The publication's iconic Swimsuit Edition will feature a woman of actual normal proportions in its latest installment, due out next week.

Ashley Graham is the model we're talking about. She's the first-ever plus-size model to grace SI's Swimsuit Edition, as the industry parlance goes.

Thing is, though, I don't really think she's all that "plus-size." More like "normal-size."

Graham is a curvy size 16, unlike the size 0s and 2s that we've grown accustomed to gracing the SI cover.

Kudos to SI for featuring someone more representative of real people. Maybe, just maybe we as a society are starting to rehabilitate our own image problems.
