Aerial Powers led all scorers with 24 points as the #16 ranked Michigan State Women's Basketball team rang up a season high in points as they defeated the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 79-64 Wednesday night at Breslin Center. Michigan State (3-1) had a total of four players in double figures as Tori Jankoska scored 19, Anna Morrissey put in 11 and Jasmine Hines added 10. Powers also led the Spartans with 16 rebounds to become the first Spartan women's player to record four straight double-doubles in her first four games of the season. Oakland (1-3) had three scorers of their own in double figures led by Olivia Nash's 17. Elena Popkey scored 14 and Nola Anderson added 12 for the Golden Grizzlies of the Horizon League. Michigan State will have Thanksgiving off and will next take the court on Sunday whey they will host Miami of Ohio. Tip off will be at 2:00pm.
