Becca Mills hit a jumper with 54 seconds in overtime to give Michigan State the lead for good as the 16th ranked Spartan Women's Basketball team defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 79-73 in overtime in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge at Breslin Center Thursday night. Georgia Tech ran out to a 10-2 lead to open the game and was up 16 with five minutes to go in the first half.  From that point and into the second half, Michigan State went on a 31-11 run to take a 50-46 lead. The Yellow Jackets fought back and tied the game at 66 with 43 seconds to go on a jumper from Sydney Wallace and in the extra period, Georgia Tech had opened with a 7-2 run. Anna Morrissey hit a three pointer for MSU then Jasmine Hines sank two free throws to knot the game at 73 setting up Mills' heroics. MSU then hit four more free throws down the stretch to secure the win. The Spartans (5-1) had four players in double figures led by Tori Jankoska who scored 21 points. Aerial Powers added 17 and 14 rebounds. Hines scored 16 and Mills added 12. Jankoska also pulled down 10 rebounds and had seven assists. Georgia Tech (5-4) was led by Wallace who led all scorers with 22. Michigan State will travel to Georgia next to take on the Georgia Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
