Anna Morrissey scored five straight points with under two minutes in the game to help the #14 ranked Michigan State Spartans Women's Basketball team pull away from the Eastern Michigan Eagles 69-61 in their regular season opener Sunday afternoon at Breslin Center. Michigan State (1-0) was led by a pair of 20 point scorers in Aerial Powers and Tori Jankoska. Powers also added 15 rebounds. The Eagles (1-1) from the Mid-American Conference were led by Janay Morton who scored 13. Michigan State will next play on Wednesday November 19 when they will host the third ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Breslin Center.
