The posters in question (seen above) appear to be advertising for the controversial speaker Milo Yiannopoulos, who came to East Lansing as part of his "Dangerous Faggot tour" Wednesday night.

The posters touched on Muslims, fat people, and treating Islamophobia as "common sense".

Yiannopoulos, a noted conservative journalist, disavowed the posters on Facebook saying he was "absolutely disgusted" by the actions.

MSU's Infrastructure Planning and Facilities group (IPF) cleaned up the posters the next morning when it was brought to their attention.

This is not the first bit of controversy to hit Yainnopoulos during his tour. He's already had appearances cancelled at North Dakota State and Iowa State just this week.
