Spartan Draft Picks Have Stocks Fluctuating
The NBA Draft is less than a week away (June 23rd) and Michigan State has supplied two of the bigger names to the pool in Deyonta Davis and Denzel Valentine. Each of them have had some draft stock moves in the past few days.
For Davis, he is drawing interest from late lottery teams. On Thursday he worked out for the Utah Jazz (pick 12), and today he has a workout scheduled with the Denver Nuggets (picks 7, 15, and 19).
For Valentine, he was once considered a fringe lottery pick but according to CBS Sports a "fairly significant knee issue" is hampering his draft stock. Their latest mock draft has him going 22nd to the Charlotte Hornets.
A recent mock draft on NBA.com, has Valentine going 16th to the Boston Celtics, just outside of the lottery picks.
Michigan State's other draft eligible players, seniors Bryn Forbes and Matt Costello, have not surfaced any in terms of draft stock analysis. It's fair to expect if they are drafted at all it will be in the late 2nd round.
