The Detroit Tigers concluded their series against the division rival Chigago White Sox with a 7-4 loss at Comerica Park Thursday afternoon. Chicago (53-56)took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning highlighted by an RBI double from Gordon Beckham. Detroit (58-46) closed the gap 3-2 in the bottom half of the inning with a sacrifice fly from Eugenio Suarez and an RBI single from Austin Jackson, Detroit then took the lead in the third on back to back solo home runs by Torii Hunter and J.D. Martinez. The White Sox tied the game with an RBI single from Moises Sierra in the fourth then took the lead in the fifth when Joakim
Soria hit Paul Konerko with the bases loaded in the seventh scoring Adam Eaton. Eaton and Alexei Ramirez added RBI in the eighth to complete the scoring. Ronald Bellsario (4-7) picked up the win and Jake Petricka earned his sixth savewhile Joakim Soria (1-4) picked up the loss. Rajai Davis replaced Jackson in the seventh to a standing ovation as it was announced that Jackson had been part of the three team deal that brings David Price to Detroit. The Tigers begin a three game interleague series with the Colorado Rockies Friday night at Comerica Park.
