It appears as if Matt Costello's strong summer league showing has paid off for the former Spartan. ESPN's Zach Lowe tweeted earlier today of the news.

The center, formerly of the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies who has yet to see in-game minutes, averaged 11.3 points and 12.0 rebounds per game for the Timberwolves summer league team. He beat out former fellow B1G basketball standout Caleb Swanigan for the title of rebounding leader for the Las Vegas league.

The contract the Spurs have reportedly offered Costello would allow the team to "use him with both their team and their G-League affiliate" according to Phil Friend of the Lansing State Journal.

Friend also reported Costello has not signed a deal with the Spurs yet.
