Syracuse.com is reporting that Syracuse University Hall of Fame basketball coach Jim Boeheim (pictured) struck and killed a man late Wednesday night while he was driving on I-690 in upstate New York.

Boeheim was apparently driving home after his Orange defeated Louisville at the Carrier Dome earlier in the evening.  Reportedly, the unnamed pedestrian had stepped out of another vehicle that had gotten into a separate accident when he was struck by Boeheim's car.

The Hall of Famer was given a blood alcohol test on scene, and came back clean (.00 BAC).  Syracuse.com says Boehiem is cooperating with authorities.
