Multiple media outlets are reporting that longtime Detroit Tigers TV announcers Mario Impemba and Rod Allen will not return to the booth for the 2019 season.

The reports come just over a month after an altercation between the longtime Fox Sports Detroit TV partners after the Tigers-White Sox game on September 4th in Chicago.

The Tigers and Fox Sports Detroit haven't commented publicly about the reports.  But if it is the end for Mario and Rod, this ends a nearly 17 year association for the two with FSD.

After Impemba and Allen were suspended after the September 4th game, Matt Shepherd and Kirk Gibson announced the majority of the games for the remainder of the season.

It is unclear when the announcers for 2019 and beyond will be made public.
