Media outlets are reporting that the University of Louisville has fired head men's basketball coach Rick Pitino (pictured), and longtime athletic director Tom Jurich in light of allegations of corruption involving a current Cardinal player.

This comes one day after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Attorney's office announced charges that the school allegedly paid the family of a prominent recruit, allegedly former Saginaw Arthur Hill HS star Brian Bowen, $100,000 to attend Louisville.

A press conference is set for Wednesday afternoon to announce the firings.
