The Detroit Red Wings made a trade on Friday that seems to reflect their desire to sell this upcoming trade deadline, moving Tomas Jurco to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jurco, 24, has appeared in just 16 games so far for Detroit this season registering no points and a -8 rating. He played two games this season with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Detroit's AHL affiliate team.

The Red Wings in return receive a third round draft pick for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

In a season that looks like the first without postseason hockey in a quarter century the Red Wings might be in full sell mode with a week until the trade deadline.
