Red Wings Sign Nielsen
The Detroit Red Wings have added unrestricted free agent, forward Frans Nielsen, to the fold. It's reportedly a 6-year deal worth more than $30 million.
Nielsen played for the New York Islanders this past season. He had 20 goals and 32 assists for the Isles in 81 games played.
The addition of Nielsen continues a busy day for the Winged Wheelers, they signed their own potential free agents, forward Darren Helm and defenseman Alexey Marchenko earlier in the day.
