Red Wings Sign Jensen To Extension

The Detroit Red Wings re-signed rookie defenseman Nick Jensen (pictured) on Monday morning to a two-year contract worth just over $1.6 million total.

Jensen was called up from the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins earlier this season, and has been one of their better defensemen this season.

He would have become a restricted free agent after this season.
