Pavel Datsyuk scored with 3:01 left in regulation to lift the Detroit Red Wings over the Boston Bruins 1-0 in Game 1 of the NHL Eastern Conference playoff's first round at TD Garden in Boston. It was Datsyuk's 37th postseason goal. Johan Franzen was credited with the assist and Wings netminder Jimmy Howard saved all 25 shots he faced for his third career playoff shutout.  Tuukka Rask made 23 saves for the Bruins.
