The Detroit Tigers ended their series with the Texas Rangers with a second straight double digit loss 12-4 Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park. Texas (25-25) used a 17 hit attack led by Adrian Beltre, Robinson Chinos and Mitch Moreland who had three hits a piece and Michael Choice who had a second inning solo home run. Colby Lewis (4-3) pitched 5 2/3 inings for the win. The Tigers (28-18) got 11 hits of their own but could only manage four runs. Justin Verlander (5-4) gave up 11 hits and a career high nine runs in five innings to earn the loss. Detroit begins a seven game road trip Monday when they start a four game series with  the Oakland A's. Drew Smyly (2-2) gets the start for the Tigers and Tommy Milone (2-3) takes the hill for the A's. Pregame coverage begins at 3:40pm on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM. .
