The Baltimore Orioles came back from a 3 run loss to win the second game of this series against the Tigers, 7-6. The Orioles got things started in the 3rd with a 2 run homer off the bat of Nick Markakis. The Tigers came back in the 4th starting with a Victor Martinez line drive single to score Torii Hunter. Then, J.D. Martinez took the plate and hit a 2 run home run to give Detroit the lead. Nick Castellanos was up next and he hit a solo homer for a 5-2 lead. Baltimore put a dent in that lead in the 4th after a J.J. Hardy soft line drive single brought in a run. In the 8th, Victor Martinez got a run in after he hit a line drive double, Hunter was able to score a run. Joba Chamberlain gave up a run in the 8th after Steve Pearse scored Adam Jones on a soft line drive single. Detroit then lost the lead after Joakim Soria loaded the bases and Delman Young hit a line drive double that scored 3 runs giving Baltimore the lead.
