In a release publicized on Friday morning, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) stated that they couldn't conclude whether the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill committed academic fraud violations.

The school created a Department of African and Afro-American studies program that many student-athletes participated in over a 20 year period, according to media reports.  The NCAA, however only investigated over the years 2002-2011.

The Tar Heels men's basketball program are the defending National Champions under head coach Roy Williams (pictured), and have won NCAA titles on four other occasions since 1982.
