It was a very rough loss for the MSU Hockey Team, losing to the Golden Gophers of Minnesota, 5-0. The Golden Gophers didn't waste any time taking an early lead in the 1st, with Travis Boyd scoring the first goal. The next goal, scored by Sam Warning, was made about 5 minutes later. Kyle Rau scored the last goal of the 1st period, giving Minnesota a 3 point lead going into the second period. Minnestoa wasn't done with their streak when Mike Reilly scored the only goal of the period. Connor Reilly scored the last goal of the game in the 3rd period.
