Tom Izzo, now in his 19th year directing the Spartans hoop program, knew this season that he had a very solid roster. Izzo has one national championship under his belt, but he never rests on his past accomplishments.Two weeks ago, his Spartan club beat the number one Kentucky Wildcats in Chicago . Last weekend in New Jersey, the Spartans won the Coaches versus Cancer championship.This year's team is led by Keith Appling, Adreian Payne, Gary Harris, Branden Dawson and a cast of hungry ballplayers.The Spartans appear to be starving to get back to the Final Four. Since Izzo took over in 1995, every player who has stayed four years with MSU has made it to at least one Final Four. You should get my point by now, Michigan State Basketball is going to be there at the end. Tom Izzo will see to that.
