Michigan State's 2014 home football slate already was enticing, with visits from Ohio State and arch-rival Michigan.

Now, it's looking even better.

The Spartans will host Nebraska on Oct. 4 for a night game, MSU announced Tuesday morning. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. for a national prime time telecast on ABC, ESPN or ESPN 2.

It may not be the only night game on MSU's home schedule, either. The Big Ten conference recently announced it is open to schools scheduling night games in November.
