After losing heralded recruit Caleb Swanigan and being out of the mix for Missouri transfer Jonathan Williams III, Michigan State has interest in another potential big man.

CBS Sports reports MSU is one of several schools interested in Providence transfer Paschal Chukwu.

Chukwu is 7-foot-2, 226 pounds. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game last season as a freshman at Providence.

He would have to sit out next season if he transfers but will have three years of eligibility left after that.

After the decommitment of Swanigan, MSU has one scholarship available for the upcoming season.
