Michigan State added a four star defensive lineman to their 2016 recruiting class on Tuesday. Auston Robertson out of Fort Wayne, Indiana has signed his national letter of intent.

Back on National Signing Day in early February, Michigan State came away with a consensus top-25 class according to the major recruiting databases. This was without Robertson a key 4-star recruit who did not sign due to a battery investigation against him in his home state.

Robertson is a weak side defensive end, he is joined by a strong side defensive end Josh King and Defensive Tackle Naquan Jones as incoming defensive line recruits for Michigan State.

Now with Robertson's letter of intent signed, Michigan State's recruiting class stand at 22 scholarships with one walk-on. 247Sports have moved the Spartans 2016 class up to 18th, meaning Dantonio's class now becomes a consensus top 20 class across the major databases.
