CM-Life is reporting today that former Mason standout and Central Michigan running back Saylor Lavallii will miss the entire season with an undisclosed injury. CMU football camp began today with the bad news. Lavallii, a senior, will serve as a student assistant for the team this year, and will seek a medical redshirt to preserve his final year of eligibility. He was the team's third leading rusher last season compiling 371 yards and 4 touchdowns in 13 games, and CMU's leading rusher in 2013. School officials declined to comment on the nature of the injury, citing privacy laws.
