Mark Dantonio Isn’t Sure Michigan Is A Real Road Game For MSU
Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans take the road for the first time this season, but they don’t have to go very far. They will make the hour long trek to Ann Arbor to play the #7 Michigan Wolverines in primetime on Saturday night.
Dantonio had a confidence about him as he spoke about his young team playing outside Spartan Stadium for the first time.
Dantonio on MSU's first road game: "It's a road game, but it's in the state of Michigan. So is it really a road game? I don't know."

Dantonio referenced how well Spartans travel and make their presence known at road games, especially places like Ann Arbor.
Michigan State is 21-49-3 all-time in Ann Arbor however under Dantonio the Spartans are 3-1, their only loss coming in 2012.
A lot of eyes will be turned to the quarterback battle in this game. For Michigan State and Brian Lewerke it’s a rematch against the opponent that ended his season with a broken leg in 2016. For Michigan, they are starting backup John O’Korn with Wilton Speight out with an injury.
Michigan State travels to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan under the lights for the first time ever in the long rivalry. Kickoff is at 7:30 and you can hear all the action on your home for Spartan football, Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ an Lansing’s Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
