With the second ranked Ohio State Buckeyes set to come in to Spartan Stadium this Saturday, Mark Dantonio was asked during his weekly press conference about if his time there factors in at all when these two schools play.

Dantonio was also asked about if he ever got a chance to meet Woody Hayes. Hayes had left Ohio State's head coaching position the last year Dantonio played football at South Carolina. Dantonio admitted he met him "three times actually, it was crazy"

Dantonio was a Graduate Assistant at Ohio State from 1983-1984. He says he still has the program Hayes signed for him.

And if he would reciprocate the favor for one of his GA's?

Dantonio also remembers a particular game he took part in that parallels this year's situation with an Ohio State team with dreams of the College Football Playoff and an out of contention Michigan State squad.

That year Dantonio was a DB's coach for the Spartans, and a 4-4 at the time (would finish 6-6) Spartans team upset number one Ohio State in Columbus. The Spartans will hope to upset the Buckeyes, this time the number two team in the land, on Saturday in East Lansing.

It would also be an awesome moment for Dantonio's seniors who will play their final home game this Saturday.

Michigan State will look to build off their Rutgers win with Ohio State coming in to town. Kickoff is at noon, and you can catch all the action on your home for Spartan sports, Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM and Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ.
