The Seattle Mariners (66-55) beat the Detroit Tigers (65-55) tonight, 7-2. The Mariners came out swinging in the 2nd, starting with a ground single hit by Logan Morrison to bring home Kyle Seager. Endy Chavez took the plate and hit a line drive single, scoring Mike Zunino. Former Tiger Austin Jackson grounded out, but ended up bringing home Morrison. In the 3rd, Robinson Cano hit a homer to give Seattle a 4 run lead. Tigers would get on the board in the 3rd after a ground out off the bat of Ian Kinsler scored a run from Rajai Davis. The Mariners kept adding on runs in the 4th after Chris Taylor hit a ground single, scoring Morrison. Seager hit a ground single, bringing home Cano in the 5th, giving the Mariners a 5 run lead. During the 8th, Victor Martinez got a hold of a ground single to bring home Miguel Cabrera. The Final run was scored by Brad Miller after a botched steal attempt by Taylor. Detroit takes on Seattle again tomorrow night, game broadcast begins at 6:40 PM On Lansing's Big talker, 1240 AM, WJIM.
