March Madness: See Mid-Michigan boys basketball squad’s dramatic buzzer beater

It's official: March Madness is upon us.

With less than a second left, Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart inbounded the basketball.

The ball caromed off the backboard, through the Fulton defense and found its way into the hands of a Sacred Heart player, who frantically thrust the ball at the rim.

The ball bounced of the rim once. Twice. Then a third time before it took a fortuitous fall through the net as time expired.

Sacred Heart players and fans rushed the court in euphoria. Fulton gaped in disbelief.

The miraculous play gave Sacred Heart (20-3) a 49-47 regional championship victory. It also ended Fulton's (21-3) season.
