Friday afternoon, the Detroit Tigers won the first game of a doubleheader with the Kansas City Royals on a walk off home run by Jacoby Jones.

The early win crept the Tigers win streak at the time to four games after sweeping the Baltimore Orioles and the Royals series opener.

Though Kansas City flipped the score during the second Friday game, beating Detroit 3-2, the Tigers had a solid chance at sweeping the doubleheader. A late Niko Goodrum error proved costly in the 9th.

The Tigers bounced back, walloping Kansas City again 12-4 on Saturday.
