Lombardi

Vince Lombardi loved to teach. He lived each day with intensity, passion, and discipline. Lombardi had a great ability to inspire greatness, and to fire up his players to test their endurance and he made leaders. He landed in Green Bay in 1959. In 10 years combined at Green Bay and Washington, he won 3 NFL Championship's and 2 Super Bowl's. The NFL's Super Bowl Trophy is named in his honor. He was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971. Lombardi always said "there is no substitute..... the harder you work, the harder it is to lose."
