Detroit Lions General Manager Bob Quinn announced on Friday morning that head coach Jim Caldwell will return to the sidelines in 2016 for a third season.

Caldwell is 18-14 in his first two seasons in Detroit. The Lions were 7-9 this season.

The Lions next order of business appears to be the status of All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson.  Megatron's cap number for 2016 is $24 million, and he has said that may retire after a disappointing 2015 season.
