The Detroit Lions overcame four turnovers and 15 penalties and won their pre-season game over the Jacksonville Jaguars 13-12 Friday night at Ford Field. In the tradtional dress rehearsal for the regular season, Detroit (2-1) took the early lead when Reggie Bush took a handoff and ran 86 yards for a score. Bush finished with 95 yards on just two carries. Jacksonville (1-2) kicked two first half field goals then took a 12-7 lead in the third quarter when rookie Blake Bortles connected with Allen Hurns from 13 yards out. Bortles finished 10/16 for 158 yards. Detroit then took the lead for good when George Winn punched in a one yard score, the ensuing two-point attempt falied. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford played into the third quarter before taking the rest of the night off. Stafford finished 10 for 16 for 98 yards and one interception. Calvin Johnson made his first appearence of the pre-season with two catches for 27 yards in one quarter of action.
