ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that The Detroit Lions traded a seventh round pick in 2018 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Johnthan Banks.

Initially, the Buccaneers planned to release Banks after his role in secondary decreased since being drafted in 2013 in second round. He started 31 of the first 32 games of his career recording seven interceptions in that span. This season he has appeared in five game but recorded no statistics.

Banks now teams up with his former college teammate Darius Slay in the Detroit secondary. In 2013, they were drafted seven picks apart from Mississippi State.
