In a press conference on Wednesday morning, Lansing Ignite General Manager Jeremy Sampson named Nate Miller as the team's first head coach.

Miller has been the men's soccer coach of Spring Arbor College for the last six seasons. And for the last three years, he has led Jeremy Sampson's amateur team, the now defunct Lansing United.  (The Lansing United women's team will continue playing next spring, with their home games at the East Lansing Soccer Complex).

The Ignite will open play in March of 2019, and will play their home games at Cooley Law School Stadium in downtown Lansing.  They will play in the United Soccer League's League One
