Lansing-Area H.S. Football Playoff Schedule – District Finals

Ten area teams are left in the state football playoffs after last week's playoff action.

Grand Ledge, Everett, Williamston, Fowler, Perry, Morrice, Sexton, Laingsburg, Olivet, Charlotte, Ionia, and Saranac all saw their seasons come to an end with losses.  But kudos to them for making the postseason in the first place.

Dates and kickoff times have been announced for this coming weekend's district finals (regional finals in 8-Player football).  Here are the matchups involving area teams.

DIVISION 2

White Lake-Lakeland (7-3) @ East Lansing (8-2) - Friday, 7:00pm

DIVISION 3

DeWitt (7-2) @ Mason (10-0) - Friday, 7:00pm

DIVISION 4

Portland (10-0) @ Hastings (8-2) - Friday, 7:00pm

Haslett (7-3) @ Chelsea (9-1) - Friday, 7:00pm

DIVISION 6

Lansing Catholic (4-6) @ Ovid-Elsie (6-4) - Friday, 7:00pm

DIVISION 7

Bath (7-3) @ Pewamo-Westphalia (9-1) - Friday, 7:00pm

8-PLAYER - DIVISION 2

Deckerville (8-2) @ Portland St. Patrick (9-1) - Saturday, 2:00pm

We will carry the DeWitt @ Mason game this Friday night on The Game 730 AM WVFN.  Pregame coverage starts at 6:00pm with interviews and analysis.  And then just before 7:00pm, it's coverage of the game from Mason High School.  Brock Palmbos and Erik "Doc" Love will have the call then.
