The cream is rising to the top in high school boys basketball in the Lansing area as we hit the halfway point of the regular season.

Okemos, East Lansing, and Waverly are at the top of the CAAC Blue standings at this point.  Mason is cruising to their second straight CAAC Red title, as they are 5-0 in league play.  Sexton leads a competitive CAAC White with a 6-0 league record, with Charlotte and Olivet close behind at 5-1.

And undefeated Laingsburg, Pewamo-Westphalia, and Fowler are at the top of the CMAC.

Some big games this week.  Monday's schedule has Okemos at Waverly, East Lansing at Holt, and Charlotte at Olivet.

Tuesday's rundown has undefeated Laingsburg hosting P-W and Fowler at Dansville.

On Thursday, undefeated East Lansing is at Okemos.  Waverly is at DeWitt, and Laingsburg is at Portland St. Patrick.

On Friday, Olivet is at Portland, while Mason is at Holt.  And there's even some notable Saturday action as East Lansing is playing Warren Lincoln.  Sexton is at Everett, Okemos at Canton, and Ovid-Elsie is at Laingsburg.

We will broadcast the East Lansing at Okemos game this Thursday night on The Game 730 AM WVFN.  Brock Palmbos and Erik "Doc" Love have the call from Okemos HS at 7:00.
