Former gymnast, Olympic gold medalist and DeWitt native Jordyn Wieber (above) gave her victim impact statement on Friday morning at the Larry Nassar sentencing hearing in Lansing.

For the first time publicly, Wieber revealed that she was sexually assaulted by Nassar as far back as when she was 14 years old when she suffered a hamstring injury.

Wieber was a member of the gold-medal winning United States Gymnastics team at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.  Wieber is the fourth member of that squad to say they were assaulted by Nassar.

Larry Nassar's sentencing hearing is now expected to last until either next Monday or Tuesday.  Over 100 victims are scheduled to give their victim impact statements before the former doctor is officially sentenced.
