ICYMI: Charlotte School Board Upholds Coach’s Resignation
By a vote of 5-1, the Charlotte School Board upheld the resignation of boys head basketball coach Steve Ernst in a special meeting on Thursday night.
Ernst resigned on Monday after the board put the coach on an individual development plan regarding the amount of technical fouls the coach was getting.
The Orioles are 4-2 on the season, and are set to play at Battle Creek Pennfield on Friday.
Athletic Director Dan Stafford will take over as head coach. Charlotte won a Class B district title last season, and reached the regional finals before losing to eventual state champion Wyoming Godwin Heights.
