The Winter meetings are going on in Orlando, Florida and yesterday three great managers had their numbers called. Those three former managers we're Joe Torre, Tony LaRussa, and Bobby Cox.

These three managers had one thing in common, respect. They gave it and demanded it. All of them knew how to manage high priced major league players. Joe Torre won World Championships with the Yankees, Bobby Cox won with the Braves, and LaRussa won World Championships in the National and American Leagues with the A's and Cardinal's.

In this day in age being the skipper of a major league team is no easy task. Now, these three men will share the podium in August at the major league baseball Hall of Fame as inductees. All three will go down in baseball history as great managers. The Hall of Fame is now a much better place to visit because three guys who gave it their all, can now look back and say they did it the right way.
