2018 Heisman Trophy winner, quarterback Kyler Murray from Oklahoma (pictured), announced on Monday afternoon that he will enter his name into April's NFL Draft.  Monday is the last day that college juniors (and redshirt sophomores in some cases) can declare for the upcoming Draft.

Murray's announcement via his Twitter account:

Murray is a two-sport star.  He was the Oakland A's first-round draft choice last summer.  And in recent days, the team is trying to convince the Heisman Trophy winner to choose baseball over football.

After backing up 2017 Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield last season, Murray threw for over 4,000 yards and 42 touchdowns for the Big 12 champions in 2018.  He led the Sooners to the College Football Playoff, where they lost to Alabama in the semifinals.

Murray has three days to withdraw from the Draft.  The official list of NFL early entrants will be published on Friday.
