Former Michigan State great and major leaguer Kirk Gibson and the Homer high school baseball teams from 2003-06 are the new inductees into the Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame, the Lansing Lugnuts are reporting.

Gibson was an All-American at MSU in the 1970's, and won two World Series titles in the majors.  First with Detroit in 1984, and with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1988.

Homer High School won MHSAA titles in 2004 and 2006 and had a 75 game winning streak.  Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Josh Collmenter was a prime performer for Homer during that time.
